[Yuri didn’t know what to expect when he was patrolling the grasslands. It had been mainly a mission for monster subjugation to ensure they wouldn’t enter the cities while the mages were working on new Barrier Blastia to protect them. So some monsters here and there, until he gives a rather distinctive ‘woof’ from Repede letting Yuri know that he’s found something that requires immediate attention. From where he’s standing he can’t see anything, but he trusts his steed when it comes to matters of importance.
And when he finally approaches the object of interest he can see why Repede required his immediate attention. A girl, huh? First instinct is to bend down and place a hand right above her mouth to check her breathing. Yep, she’s alive. Then two fingers to her neck to ensure a strong pulse. She seems to be okay, but this is certainly an odd place to be dozing off. No injuries that he can note and nor does she seem to be in any mortal danger aside from the monsters that could attack her if they sensed her.
Now kneeling there, he watches the girl wondering how to deal with this situation. Should he carry her back to the city and to a bed, or what? But Repede seems to have other ideas when he rubs his cold nose against her and rouses her. Immediately, Yuri puts on a lop sided smile laughing a bit.]
There are better places to take a nap than on the ground, y’know.
[As he holds out a hand in case she needs help getting up.]

[Lucina stirs when she feels something cold against her face. She wasn't sure what to expect when she opened her eyes, but being nudged awake by a dog in the middle of a field wasn't it. It looked like the dog wasn't alone, either.]
[Even trying her best to search her memories, she couldn't seem to piece together how she got here. The last thing she could remember was being on a boat and then...nothing. While she knew her journey away from home would take her to new places, she hadn't expected to go so far so fast.]
[Still, she can't deny that there's something comforting about the place where she's woken up. The grass certainly seemed greener than the future she'd come from, and the cool breeze seemed refreshing.]
[She takes the stranger's hand with a smile. It was rather embarrassing, being found in such a vulnerable position, but somehow this person doesn't strike her as a threat.]
Thank you.
[And she pauses; now would be as good a time to gather information as any.]
Tell me, sir, would you happen to know where we are?

[Now pulling her up so she could stand it gives him the chance to observe her some more. Her uniform seems like that of a knight, but not quite like the knights here. Is she a guild member then? Probably from one that has a bit of money if they can look like high end knights. That tiara on her head also gets him a bit confused because usually only royalty would wear crowns (not that Estelle or Ioder wear them). Maybe she's high ranking in her guild. Wouldn't surprise him at all considering he's seen some customs he's seen in other guilds.
Also the 'sir' part. A little too stuffy and formal for him.]
You're just outside the new city Aurnion and can you please call me Yuri? 'Sir' is well... a little too much for me.

I see.
[She takes another good look at her rescuer. From what she could tell, he seemed pretty well outfitted, and his weapons were of high quality and in good condition. However, his clothes were unlike anything she'd seen before; they seemed slightly reminiscent of the myrmidons from Chon'sin, but lacking in any sort of defensive capabilities. She realized, if this world wasn't gripped by war, there was probably no need to pay special attention to such things.]
Thank you, s-Yuri. [She bites back the word. Princesses gonna princess.] You said that we were near a city called Aurnion, correct? May I ask what country this is?

Zelos--Because shipping and other stuff like that there.

Zelos!
[ The panic and fear in her voice as she watched him fall in front of her was quickly replaced by anger as she began to take care of her assailants, keeping them from finishing off the red-head.
This had been her fight originally, and she meant to end it. Something, she had to grudgingly admit, she might not have been able to do if Zelos hadn't stepped in--literally. They could have stopped their attack when he had appeared, but had kept on, all of them focusing on him rather than her. Glancing back at him, her eyes widened at just how injured he was--there was only so much healing could do--and they darkened almost immediately with rage. At herself for getting into this mess, at those who had attacked her...
...And, to a very lesser extent, Zelos for jumping in when he did.
Unfortunately for her attackers, when Sheena was angry, she fought at an entirely different level--almost like a berserker rage that was entirely under her control. Soon, the ground was littered with unconscious--and barely conscious--bodies as a warning to never hurt Zelos again.
Or any of her friends, for that matter.
Putting away her weapons, she turned her back on her assailants and rushed over to the red-head and kneeling beside him, lifted his head to gently cradle it in her lap. Sighing, she brushed his hair back from his face. ]
You Idiot...

[Yyyeaaaah she's definitely some sort of nobility, whether it's Union or Empire. Her speech, her mannerisms, all that are a dead giveaway though it doesn't appear she's trying to hide it so whatever. It doesn't offend him so why should he care at all? It's something he'll keep in the back of his mind, however, just in case. Never know when that kind of information will become useful in case things come to bite you in the ass.]
Yeah, it's newly built so not many people know about it. We're on Hypionia, though.
Yeah, it's newly built so not many people know about it. We're on Hypionia, though.
[When Zelos had found out what Sheena was up to, he could've almost killed her himself. He didn't care whose fight it was, taking on this many enemies alone couldn't be called anything but a suicide mission, and there was no way in hell he was letting that happen. Fortunately, he'd arrived before she'd gotten into bad shape.
[Unfortunately, he'd underestimated the enemies as well, and pretty soon it was clear that he couldn't possibly hope to defeat them all on his own. At the very least, he could draw them away from Sheena, and give the summoner enough time to escape.]
[And that he does; he does his best to distract them, taking down a few in the process, before eventually falling. Shit, he'd gotten in way over his head, and now he was paying for it. He sustains enough injuries that there's a period of shock before the pain sits in, but when it hits, boy does it ever.]
[His vision is blurring, and he's not really aware of anything on the battlefield around him, until Sheena rushes to his side. Hadn't he told her to run away? Whatever, it didn't look like it mattered now.]
Gotta admit, that was pretty cool.
[His voice is strained and his smile is forced, and that has never been more apparent than right now as he is literally coughing up blood.]

I've come further than I thought, then.
[Realistically, it was her choice and she knows she shouldn't be bothered by it, but it doesn't stop that last wave of homesickness from creeping over her. Whatever happened, she'd resist. That was the promise she'd made to herself when she'd decided to leave.]
[Lucina turns back towards the stranger. If he'd meant her ill will, he would have acted when she was sleeping. He seemed trustworthy; trustworthy enough to gain the companionship of a dog, anyway.]
I'm sorry to impose, but would it be possible for you to escort me to this "Aurnion." I can pay you, of course.
[She wasn't sure what currency this place used, but gold should be good anywhere, right?]

[ How the hell he had found out, she had no idea, but she can probably guess: Orochi. Next time, she's not going to tell him what she's up to. As touching as his concern for her is, it sometimes makes things worse.
Like right now.
Zelos should have known better than to tell her to run away and leave him there alone to fight. If he's not going to let her get away with doing it, then why should she?
Those same hands that had taken out their enemies are gentle as they continue holding him and brushing back his hair as her eyes look over him, cataloging his injuries and trying not to show how worried she is. This is bad, very bad. ]
You have some weird definitions of what's "cool", you Stupid Chosen.
[ Still the same insults, but they've taken on a whole new meaning between them now.
She holds him as he coughs, using her obi to wipe away the blood. ]
Try not to talk, Zelos. [ She looks around. ] We've got to get you someplace where you can rest.
Like right now.

Don't need any pay, I'll take you there.
[The main reason he doesn't run the guild is because he turns down all their sources of income. The Cap'n would probably be yelling at him right now for turning down what's possibly a guild job that they could get paid, but he can't take money from a girl who appears to be very lost. He'd like to know how she ended up on Hypionia of all places, but he's not one to really judge with all the times he's woken up in jail.]
It's not too far from here so it'll take no time at all.
[And his dog gives a 'woof' as if affirming that.]
By the way, you got a name?

Thank you, I am in your debt.
[She thought about resisting further, but given her current situation, it was probably a better idea to accept the stranger's offer. It seemed that there were kind people in this world, at least.]
My name is...[And another long pause. How should we answer?]
[She'd assumed the identity of Marth when she'd traveled back in time, but she'd had a reason then. She wasn't sure how far back she'd gone, and if the her of the past had already been born, it could've caused trouble.]
[Here, however, she was far from home. There was little chance somebody would recognize her name, and even less that someone would recognize her as the princess of Ylisse. Admittedly, she was attached to the name as well; it almost felt like a final keepsake from her parents.]
Lucina. My name is Lucina.

[As out of it as Zelos is, the concern in Sheena's eyes is still obvious. The injuries were probably worse than he'd realized.]
[He couldn't deny that Sheena's hands felt nice and comforting. It had been a long time since he'd been surrounded by something so warm.]
C'mon, not even a little?
[And he immediately regrets talking. Talking hurt a lot. After another bout of coughing, he'll nod in response to her second suggestion, before resting his head in her lap.]

[ Her hold tightens on him when he coughs, the obi once again coming in to play. ]
Geez, you idiot; not even a little.
[ The words are "harsh", but the tone isn't.
After reprimanding him, she looks about for someone to help them, and hits paydirt almost immediately. There's a place very near they can go to take care of his wounds, and no one will disturb them. ]
Zelos, it's gonna hurt like hell, but we have to move you. Do you think you can make it? It's not too far.
[ If not, she's got a four-armed summon who can help. ]
[ ooc: I sense timeskip ahead. ]

[She sure took some time to give him her name, but he could see those gears working in her head. Does she need to come up with an alias? If she's important he could see why -- it'd be like a case of Estelle all over again though she never came up with an alias she just tried to hide the fact she was a princess. But titles never mattered to him and probably never will so long as they aren't shoved in his face.]
Lucina, huh? [Sounds like a noble's name, but...]
Would Lucy be okay?
[Doesn't matter if it's okay, he'll probably just call her that. But now they're walking at a decent pace.]
We should be there in no time, that way you can rest up and get what you need. Since it's a place where the Union and Empire are, I'm sure you can get whatever connections you need there so it's perfect.
[Since he's still not really sure what side she's on. But at least it's not a hostile place.]

[She immediately cringes. It's not that she has a problem with the name, per se, but she wasn't quite used to being addressed so...casually. It was probably better to get used to it sooner rather than later.]
I suppose it's not a problem.
[And a small pause.]
In return, may I ask your name?
[She catches onto that last part. On the one hand, she would do well to blend in the best that she could, and being ignorant essential information on the world would make her stick out like a sore thumb. On the other, she also needed to learn more about this world. Perhaps something more covert?]
This Aurnion seems to have an interesting history. Would you mind telling me more?

[ooc: timeskip indeed!]
[He almost starts with another comeback, but a sudden fit of coughing stops him. Instead, he settles for a pretty forced smirk.]
[He wasn't feeling it, but it wasn't hard to see that if they couldn't make it to town, he was out of luck. Hell, even if they could somehow make it to town, he might still be out of luck.]
Yeah, should be good.
[And he starts to struggle to get up; he might not be able to make it himself, but maybe with some support?]

[ Since he's already done so well in following her advice about not talking, Sheena's actually prepared to clamp her hand over his mouth if/when he tries to speak. So much better than what she has to do right now.
Wiping away any blood that he's coughed up, Sheena freezes when she sees that smirk. It's different from even the last one he had given her--as if he has to put even more effort into making it appear.
Damn.
But if he's going to try to act normally, than so is she. ]
What did I say about talking? Couldn't you have just nodded?
[ Okay, so the note of concern in her voice makes everything not-so-normal, but she's beyond caring. He can tease and torment her all he wants later; at least then he'll be alive to do it. ]
Hold on. [ Her voice is soft and gentle as she rises while keeping him as upright as possible. Putting one arm across her shoulders, she looks up at him. ] Okay, I've got you. Ready?

[As much as he wants to make a witty retort in return, Sheena had a good point about not talking. Talking was painful. Pain was bad.]
[The concern in her voice is easy enough to parse, so he's just gonna do his best to make it up. He's able to, thanks to Sheena's support, but it's more that he's a dead weight than he is keeping himself upright.]
[If he could talk, he'd probably say something about how she should leave him behind, how he wasn't worth it, etc.]
[But it was clear she was pretty upset, and he couldn't talk without coughing up blood, so he'll just nod in response. Hopefully town wouldn't be too far away.]
[ooc: time-skip time?]

[ Don't worry, Zelos. Sheena's got you, and she's not about to let you go. Not yet, anyway.
It'll be slow-going, as Sheena makes sure he's not jostled and stops if he needs to before moving again when he's ready.
Finally, they reach where they're going, and cornering a passerby, Sheena asks--then yells when they just stand there staring at Zelos in recognition--to get them the supplies they need. While they're gone, she gets him into a room and on to the bed.
She takes a few precious moments to get some water and cloths before returning to his side. Working his clothes out of the way and reigning in her panic, she begins using wet towels to clean the wounds, glancing up at him occasionally to make sure he's still with her. ]

[By the time they reach where they're going all of his strength is gone. He can kind of sort of make out Sheena shouting at someone for something when they first reach town, but that's about it.]
[Before he knows it, he's laying down on a bed. Between how comfortable the bed is and how much energy (and blood) he's lost, he can't help but close his eyes and nod off. There was nothing wrong with a quick nap, right?]
[But he's still there, even if the quiet rising and falling of his chest is the only indication.]

[ Seeing the steady rise and fall of his chest is enough to calm the ninja as she works, and soon after the supplies arrive, Zelos' wounds are cleaned and wrapped, his clothing once more back in place.
Wiping her brow, Sheena noticed for the first time that her hands were shaking. Now that the danger of losing Zelos is behind her, reaction is settling in, reminding her just how frightened she had been behind that tough facade of hers.
Using this time to clean herself and the room up, she brings out a fresh basin of water and some more clean cloths. Setting them on the nightstand, she dampens a cloth and sits next to him on the bed to wipe his brow and keep him cool, wondering if he'll be mad to learn she had to remove his headband. Brushing back his hair with her other hand, she can't help but think how peaceful he looks while he sleeps--something she had never noticed while they had been traveling.
And something she may be able to get used to. ]
Ah, Zelos... [ Very quietly, barely above a whisper. ] Thank you...you Idiot.

[He's asleep for awhile, regaining his strength.]
[When he eventually stirs, it takes a moment for his memories to come back to him. Or, some of them do, at least.]
[He remembered talking to Orochi, rushing to Sheena, and after that, there was a fight. He'd gotten messed up pretty badly, and he had a vague recollection of having his head in Sheena's lap. But none of that explained why he was somewhere in town, nestled under covers, unless...]
[Zelos glanced to his side. Had Sheena carried him all the way here and treated his wounds? Shit, he really owed her, didn't he? For the saving his life thing, not the running off into trouble thing. He was still angry about that.]
[Still, he was more grateful than angry, and he's going to show his thanks in the most Zelos-like way possible.]
What, no thank you kiss?
[He's pretty groggy and he's not back to his full self yet, so he has a little trouble getting the words out, but it's a perfectly Zelos-like response all the same.]

[ Taking up a spot next to him on the bed, Sheena watches him as he sleeps, wiping his brow and calming him with a touch if and when he becomes restless.
Once more brushing his hair out of his eyes, she places it gently on the side of his head--a constant source of comfort as she looks out the window, her brows furrowed in thought.
She thinks she should feel angry at him for coming for her, but she doesn't, leaving her feeling confused. Why had he--and only he--come for her? He had pulled her from dangerous situations before, but this time--it had felt more personal.
Her eyes widen as an answer comes to her, and for a moment, she can't bring herself to believe it. He's always been insulting and infuriating, making her life a complete hell, but when she's needed help... He had been there. He had been the one to pull her through the gate, and the one who, by acting normally, had helped her get through the events at Volt's Temple. And now, here he is again, coming to her rescue. Somehow, in spite of herself, she had become Zelos' damsel in distress.
And she didn't mind one bit.
Surprising herself with that little bit of insight, she looks over at him when she feels him stirring, her hand staying right where it is as she shakes her head in response to his question. ]
What do you think, you Stupid Chosen?
[ Translation: He may be in for a surprise later. ]

[Zelos blinks. Had he heard that right? He couldn't have heard that right.]
[He was expecting to be hit, but, thinking again, he was glad that she was feeling less violent today. He was already in a good deal of pain, and now that the numbness from sleep was wearing off, he was about to be in a lot more.]
[It was worth it though, since it meant Sheena was okay.]
[There's a conversation they need to have. Actually, there's several. But Zelos is going to wait a little bit longer.]
[Instead, he smiles a little bit more genuinely than usual as he responds.]
Heh, guess it turned out alright.
[Its a pretty un-Zelos response, but accurate nonetheless. He was afraid that he'd be too late. He's glad he wasn't.]

[ He heard it right. So she's not going to repeat it.
And seriously? He thought she was going to hit him in that condition? Give her some credit!
She'll wait until he's healed first. Then she'll hit him for getting hurt and worrying her in the first place.
And yes, there's definitely a few conversations they need to have, but like the hitting, she'll wait until he's better to do it.
She's pretty surprised by that smile, but returns it easily, the hand on his head lightly tapping in a very much lighter version of her usual whap. ]
If you call you lying in bed looking like a mummy "all right", I guess it did.
[ Her response isn't exactly normal, either, but how can it be when, although peeved he showed up, part of her is glad he did and grateful he survived? ]
