[Everyone was celebrating. It seemed like the plan was a success... well, the plan to stop Van's plan was, at least. And after a few days of traveling to get everything settled, it looked like Anise would finally be coming back to Daath. Of course, little did she know there was someone else waiting for her. Someone she wouldn't be expecting.]
[After carrying her battered body away from the Cheagle Woods, Largo was shocked to find that Arietta was still alive. What could he do? Leave her there to be given a final blow and steal her last breath? Maybe it was what she would have wanted in the event of a loss, but... he couldn't do it. And so, begging her forgiveness, he brought her to a healer to be saved. But where could she go now, who would look after her? Weighing his options, he chose the only people he could think who would selflessly take in a damaged and dangerous child like Arietta: the Tatlins. Sure, there was the possibility of her crossing paths with that replica of the Fon Master they'd taken in, but with her health in such a precarious state, chances are she wouldn't be getting out a bed any time soon.]
[There's no fanfare when Anise arrives. They couldn't have known exactly what day she would be back -- or maybe she wanted to surprise everyone? Either way, when she makes her way into the cathedral and heads to her parent's room, rather than the familiar sight of her mother and father... she'll be greeted by the sight of a bandaged and wounded Arietta, staring back at Anise with wide eyes.]
[Anise had wanted to get back home almost as soon as they beat Van, she really had, but there were enough things to take care of that the party's return trip had been delayed a couple of days.]
[Once the Albiore actually lands in Daath, she bounds off, running all the way up to her parents' apartment. There was a lot weighing on her mind, but she was too excited to see Florian (and her parents) to care at the moment. After practically jumping up the last few stairs, she swings open the door, the sound reverberating through the next three or four rooms.]
Papa! Mama! Florian! I'm ho---
[Only to stop mid-sentence, because of all the people she expected to see, the person laying in bed wasn't one of them.]
[Arietta hasn't had too much time to think about what she would say to Anise when she saw her again. Because of course she would -- she was here, sitting in Anise's parent's room and being cared for by them while she recovered. It was inevitable. But even if that weren't the case, she knew as long as she lived, she'd have to deal with Anise sooner or later.]
[Quickly, she sits up -- but just as quickly regrets it, a hand moving up to her stomach before she winces, falling back on one of her elbows.]
[There are a lot of things that are going through Anise's head as she tries to process this. Among other things: where's Florian? Where are her parents? How did Arietta survive? Is she dreaming? Did she die in the fight with Van? And with the flurry of questions also comes another flurry of emotions.]
[But the questions were probably more important at the moment. She makes sure she has a hand on Tokunaga in case it comes to a fight, but looking at Arietta, it didn't appear that she'd be getting up any time soon.]
Lolisssss
