"Of course," he says, giving a somewhat proud nod. "Nothing would make me happier." Okay, well, there are a few things that might but he'll keep those to himself.
For now.
"The Firmament is coming along nicely thanks to the help of Lord Francel. He's really put his all into the place." Aymeric wishes that he was able to oversee it more diligently but he has read the reports of progress. It's been amazing to see so many people from every corner of Eorzea come together to help their humble city-state. "And there are some new vendors I have been meaning to visit since their approval to sell wares was granted."
'For now,' indeed. There are also a few things that would make Rose happier, but she's going to keep those to herself. Although, there is a light pink tinge to her cheek, if he's paying attention.
"It sounds like Lord Francel has really come into his own. Glad am I to hear it." Although it's unsaid, Rose is equally glad to hear that they're making progress. If she has one home in Eorzea, it's Ishgard.
"Glad am I as well. After all the adversity his family has faced, it is inspiring to see him at the forefront of the effort to restore the new Isghard."
The 'new' Ishgard because, well, it is. And while many citizens had been of two minds about the shift, he has to admit that the transitions have gone smoother than he could have hoped for. While there is still much work to be done, well- Lucia is often telling him that even he deserves a break to enjoy what his home city has to offer. Perhaps with Rose there, he'll be more inclined to take the time.
It's a date carries more weight than it should. Between the pink on her cheeks and that- It's all he can do to hide his elation, really.
"As will I." Perhaps more than she knows, he almost says, but refrains. "I will make sure it's a day to remember."

"Then, it's a date. I'll look forward to it."
